If you are considering the purchase of an IBM or compatible  you  may  be  in-
terested  in  the ECS-PC/XT. At present, a group in zoology is considering the
purchase of seven units. We will be negotiating a price with the  company  for
the  systems.  We are anticipating having a demo model in the dept. in the im-
mediate future. A system with  640k  RAM,  monochrome  graphics,  double  disk
drives  and  monitor would be approximately $1550. A single floppy and a 20Meg
hard disk would be about $2350. If a group rate could be arranged, this may be
reduced significantly (e.g. $200-300).  The price includes a six month warran-
ty.  If you are interested in a lab or personal unit,  please  contact  either
