He had a problem with VMS putting out newlines on its own when he wrote stream data (with C) to a graphics terminal. He has had some answers concerning the way he opens his file, uses QIO's etc. It may be that his problem is in the SET TERMINAL protocol used for his port; it must be set /NOWRAP , or VMS will insert a carriage-return/line-feed every time the default buffer-size is reached. We had the same problem with the AED's. Sid.
