To generate a break, the documentation says to hit CMD-ENTER. I don't know if it works on earlier versions of Versaterm so if not you will have to order the update to 2.10 ($10). If you have a version of versaterm before 2.0, then the $10 is a great deal because Lonnie has added lots of goodies not found in earlier releases.
