You don't have to go on: the root of your problem is evident in that last sentence. The secret to success with a toyota is NEVER paying attention to it. I have put 97K miles on my 1980 corrolla and have had to have the brakes repaired at MIDAS twice because I drive it pretty hard, changed the muffler a couple of times, and changed the oil once or twice a year, BUT I WOULD NEVER TAKE A TOYOTA IN FOR "24month service" unless there were something seriously wrong with it (after 24 months?). You are simply paying too much attention to your car. If you want a car that needs service at regular intervals you should buy a fiero or something, never a toyota. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
