Summary: Valve jobs ... I take it that you have a V-6cyl. Volvo engine. I have been told NOT to perform a valve job on a car such age. The new valve settings will introduce new forces on the cam shafts causing breakge of the shaft soon afterwards. Replacing the shafts is a bitch in these crowded engine compartments. Either you take the whole engine out, or you drill a large hole through the fire wall so that the right camshaft can be extracted through there. This is all second hand info, I have not done this myself. But those who have say it is a big bitch, and a shop charges alot for it. So I suggest to see what other netters have to say about this issue. Jan
