Although I have very little trouble with the car, the car's gear shifter has recently become hard to shift. Side-to-side movement in nuetral is somewhat stiff and putting the car into gear ( up-down ) is VERY stiff and noisy ( squeeks ). I have removed the shifter's boot and put grease on the top half of the shifting ball, but shifting is still stiff. I changed the oil in the transmission ( 10W40 ) but it didn't improve. I really am at a loss at what I should try next. Any ideas? Thanks In Advance, hrmsd!jck John Kane (201)-949-9577
