A friend of mine has the same station wagon, and he is also on his second engine (supplied and installed free by Oldsmobile, by the way). The Olds diesel V8 was a converted gasoline engine that couldn't stand the strain of diesel operation. It was one of GM's really big mistakes, and they are still paying for it.
