I've been reading a number of messages about the troubles short people have to
go through to find an appropriate bike, but being 7'2", I thought I might ask
what tall people ride? I have a cheap (well, it uses slightly heavier square
tube for frame and cost me $575) recumbant about 8 feet long, but the seat
slides back and forth about a foot so it can accomodate shorter (than 7 foot)
people as well.

Has anyone done any long distance riding on recumbants? I haven't, but from
the little riding I did last summer I seemed to notice it was a bear to
climb hills with, otherwise I could ride pretty much forever without any
problems with back pains, stress on the arms, etc.
