I have a cheap (well, it uses slightly heavier square tube for frame and cost me $575) recumbant about 8 feet long, but the seat slides back and forth about a foot so it can accomodate shorter (than 7 foot) people as well. Has anyone done any long distance riding on recumbants? I haven't, but from the little riding I did last summer I seemed to notice it was a bear to climb hills with, otherwise I could ride pretty much forever without any problems with back pains, stress on the arms, etc. -- AT&T: (414) 963-5133 {The views above may or may} `O_o' ARPA: uwmcsd1!dave@wisc-rsch.ARPA {not reflect the views of any} ( ) UUCP: ..!uwvax!uwmacc!uwmcsd1!dave {other person or group at UWM} U Usnail:Dave Rasmussen,UWM CSD, Box413, Milwaukee WI 53201. :-) Ack Phft!
