I am trying to find the title or author of a children's
book I read in 3rd or 4th grade.

There was this pig (who might have been a detective) and
there were these Martians.

That is just about all I remember except one thing:  the
pig, I believe, had been told he talked too much.  Someone
suggested he think more about what he said before he said
it.  The remedy proposed was that he not use words with R's
in them.  The forethought required to come up with non-R
words was to keep him thinking rather than talking.

I hope this rings a bell out there for somebody.  Please
reply by email (and, as usual, if there is enough
interest I will summarize and post results to the net...).
