A book review by Evelyn C. Leeper This is another "Sherlock-Holmes-meets-a-famous-person" novel. This time he meets Houdini, who is accused of stealing some papers from a supposedly impregnable safe. Although Houdini himself is drawn somewhat one-dimensionally, the story moves along well and avoids most of the common mistakes Holmes pastiches often make. It's no great shakes, but it's not unpleasant for a Holmes completist. Evelyn C.
