Physics Dept., IN Lines: 11 I happended to catch Carson's monologue tonight (03/17/86) and something strange popped up. Note that this was a "Best of Carson", so the show was about a year old. He told a joke about last year's first secret military mission on the space shuttle, but some of the phases were munged. It sounded like several of the words were played backwards. I'm sure it was censoring, not a technical problem. I'm wondering why the joke was censored. Anyone in LA or NY care to call NBC and find out why the monologue was censored?
