They are well- researched as she lived in Mexico for a number of years. I have one at home and it is a real wealth of information. You may find the recipes involve long processes BUT you will be doing it the authentic way. And if you are from Texas then the ingredients should be easy to find down there. Try finding them here in Toronto! I only remember that the book I have does have other dessert recipes, including cookies and cakes (if that's what you can call them - they are different.)
