Given the existence in later Emacs versions of a portable `alloca' (written by Doug Gwyn) it should only take a moderate amount of hacking to do. However, it is up to the people who use Gould machines to do this work! We will certainly distribute the modifications needed to make Emacs work so that other Gould users can benefit, but we have neither the resources nor the motiviation to do so ourselves. So, only thing I know about doing a Gould port is that you should #define C_ALLOCA in m-gould.h. Everything else is up to people who use and know about Gould machines.
