is there a line eater on your machine, I've never had that problem


Somebody, I don't remember who, as I didn't save the message, queried
"how do do remember where you've been if you use a scroll of mapping
in a maze?"

I've always found it useful, in a such a situation, or when using a
detection potion, to mark things on the screen with a dry-erase
marker.
