These three friends were betting each other to cough up the most phlegm.

The first guy tries his luck and managed to cough up a whole glass of
solid, yellow phlegm.

The second guy boasted that he could do much better.  And after
much snortling (?) and coughing did managed to produce two warm and fresh
glasses of phlegm.

Not to be outdone, the third guy tries to best the record.
Just as he was about to cough, he suddenly looked up and pointed
at the source of distraction.  His friends' eyes followed his.
Taking advantage their momentary loss of attention, he quickly 
gulped down the three glasses of phlegm on the table and proceeded
to win the wager ...
