The marsans attack Earth because their favorite food is human brain.
They take all the brains back to Mars, and set up a speciality brain store.
A marsan walks into the store, and starts looking at the prices:

   Biologists' brain     $1/pound
   Artsies' brain        $2/pound
   Mathies' brain        $5/pound
   Engineers' brain    $500/pound

"Whoaaa", he says.  "Why is engineers' brain so expensive?"

The store keeper says: "Do you know how many engineers we have to kill
to get a pound of brain?"
