There is a story about the rock group the J. Geils Band a few years back.  It
seems that they wanted to change their image among the German-speaking peoples.
So, for one album, they shortened their name to 'Geils'.  After receiving many
guffaws at record stores around Germany, somebody at the record company found 
out that in German, 'geil' means 'horny'...
