So, my turn to make an attempt at a new joke (new to the net, this is not original). It seems that, in the far, far away land of the Potato Kingdom, the Potato Princess had reached a marriageable age, and her father, the King, was scouring the neighboring kingdoms for an unmarried nobleman. But either they were too young or were too old or were already married, so he was having no luck. The Princess herself was no help, either, because whenever the King found anyone who was even a remote possibility, she refused to have anything to do with him ("he's so fat", "he's got too many eyes", "he's got no brains", etc.). So, he had pretty much run out of possibilities, when one night while watching the CBS Evening News, he had a brilliant idea. There he was -- Dan Rather, handsome, intelligent, famous, a dream potato if there ever was one. So he turns to his daughter, and says, "Well, how about Dan Rather? He's got everything you seem to be looking for in a husband." The Princess immediately replies, "Oh, Daddy, I can't marry him, he's just a common 'tater!" -- Scott Anderson ihnp4!oddjob!kaos!sra
