Ah, it appears that you are asking a slightly different question than the one Geoff is answering: he says that you can find a decent FORTRAN for Unix, you are looking for one for Unix on a VAX. That severely limits your choices. Rumor (from "usually reliable sources") has it that part of the support for the VMS/Ultrix FORTRAN is in Ultrix proper, so you won't be able to run it on a non-Ultrix VAX. Solution: Buy Ultrix, of course. [Buying Ultrix may not be as bad as you think. If you haven't looked at it seriously, don't laugh about it.]
