I am apparantly on a mailing list at Borland (Turbo Pascal, Prolog, ...)
because
everytime they introduce a new product 
they send me a brochure telling me that I am a preferred customer and that
I get to buy the new product for, say, $65 instead of $99.

I believe that the way I got on this list was either:
  - buying a product directly from them, or
  - buying one of their products anywhere and registering it with them.

Anyway, you might investigate this if you want to buy Borland products
because it is nice to get a big discount without going through "Uncle Melvins
Cameras, Stereos, and Computers discount house".
