I get this kind of thing all the time. However, this card offer featured no monthly or yearly fee. I returned the application card and about a month later received the VISA card along with a check for $1,000.00 drawn on my new account. The enclosed letter said congradulations, etc., here is a check for $1,000.00 to use as you please. I did not need the grand, so I put the check along with the letter in my desk drawer. The next month I received my first monthly statement. It showed a balance due of $1,000.00 plus interest, minimum payment of $50.00 please. I was pissed! I cut the card in half, put it in the return envelope along with the uncashed check and wrote a nasty note on the bill pointing out that I never received funds from my account and told them to cancel the account. I have not heard back from them. They have a lot of God damn gall to tell you that their card has no fees and then bill you for funds (plus interest) that you've never received.
