Lines: 28 Keywords: pic Xref: watmath net.text:992 net.math.stat:194 I apologize to readers of `net.math.stat' for a non-statistical article; my request concerns S, and I have noticed that it is net.math.stat where S is discussed. I want to translate some S graphical input into pic input. Although I have access to S, I currently do not have access to a version of S that contains the `pic' function. Is anyone out there willing to do this translation for me? I would send you the file by computer mail. Suppose you call the file `Figure6' (because that's what it is). Then all you have to do is initiate this terminal session: % S > pic > source "Figure6" > q and then mail me back the file `pic.out' which will have been created in your home directory. The S input file is quite short (only 37 lines, excluding blank lines and comments). I am willing to pay a reasonable fee for this service. Please reply by computer mail, or telephone (415)7252454 or (415)4973738 (in the United States of America) and ask for Jay Shachter. Thank you in advance. jfs
