The Amiga manual (the little one you get with release 1.1) has a chart
in the back showing the pins used by the serial port and, beside it,
the pins used by a Hayes modem.  The two *seem* compatible, with respect
to the Amiga's power pins.

Before I just cable together my Amiga and my Hayes, can someone who has
done this please reassure me that this is safe?

Also: an Amigaterm program, including xmodem, comes with Manx Aztec C.
Someone has said something about garbage being present at the end of
a file transferred by xmodem.  What is the preferred solution to this?
Is Kermit better?
