Please forgive me if I look like I don't know what I'm doing, I don't.

I have several questions about the Amiga:

1.  In previous notes someone mentioned that there was a 25% discount available for students, faculty etc.  Where? How do I get it?  What is it for?

2.  Has anyone attempted to connect a NEC Multisync monitor to the Amiga?  If
so how does it work, especially in high res mode (640*400)?

3.  From what I understand Electronic Arts has copy protected their software 
by forcing it to be booted in place of the workbench disk.  Is this true?  
Why is it true if it is?  
  
4.  As I have not yet puchased an Amiga, I would appreciate any info on problemsthat have arisen.  I am not a programmer, so try not to get too technical, but
I would like to hear any complaints.
