What is the preferred solution to this? >Is Kermit better? Any file transfer protocol that leaves kaka at the end of the file is worthless, in my mind. Kermit is infinitely better, especially kermits with server and connect mode. Kermit runs on loads of different computers with many different operating systems. It does not require an 8 bit data path. It is "sort of" public domain, and can be included in a product as long as it is included "free of charge". Sources are available for all the machines/os's, and in a variety of languages (C, Assemblers, Pascal, etc). If anyone wants more info on what it is and where do I get it, I'll gladly post it.
