                     ATARI I/O PORT FUNCTIONS
     A friend just bought a Radio Shack voice synthesizer and wants
to drive it with his Atari computer.  The synthesizer instructions
call for a 13 pin connection to a host computer; his Atari has a
male 13 pin peripheral port.  The problem is that we do not know
anything about the functional I/O of the Atari and hope there are
some experts who can give us this vital information.  Our questions
are:
  1.  Are small computer 13 pin I/O ports all standard?
  2.  If so, what is the standard?
  3.  If not, what is Atari's standard?
     Thanks for any and all help on this issue.
