A word of caution to those of you considering on upgrading your
Atari 520ST to 1 meg.  

!!!!!!!!USE CMOS RAM CHIPS ONLY!!!!!!!!!

41256C-15 BY NEC are a good choice

The problem is that a non cmos ram chip can draw as much as 
70 ma of current.  Therefore 70*16 equals aprox 1 amp of current!
