HELP!

I am trying to get a Mitsubishi 5.25 #M4853 80 track drive
to work with my ST.  

I had problems with the select lead not selecting the drive
but I was able to buffer it and get the ST to find the drive 
on power up.  But know it will not format.  There seems to
be a problem with stepping the head.  The Mitsubishi drive
has a 3ms step rate and should work with the ST. Also
the drive does work on another (non ST) system. 

Do any other lead(s) need to be buffered ?
