(NY, NY) Lines: 28 Just had an interesting conversation with the development area within ATT regarding upgrading a 6300 from 2.1 to 3.1: No matter what I tried, I couldn't get the damn cluster size down from the 8K my 20 meg. drive had under 2.1. I fdisk'ed, formatted, etc., but my cluster size remained the same -- 8K. So I called tech support, and they advised me that they decided to make their version of 3.1 *compatible* with 2.1. Even down to the cluster size!!! What garbage. In speaking with some of the marketing types, they seemed surprised. Now, were they just BS'ing me? One note: With the exception of the clock, fdisking with "generic" DOS 3.1 worked like a charm --- my cluster size is now reasonable.
