Sci. Lines: 28 The hard disk (20Meg) on my UNIXPC decided to STOP WORKING. It was a sudden thing -- I turned it off for a 3-4 day period and when I turned it back on, the harddisk does not respond! Perhaps I should have left it on.... too late now. I have decided to take the hardwae drop-service repair contract for ~$500 per annum. any reason that people might know why it went bad -- TELL ME - ALSO if anyone can suggest a NEW disk with better access time (half/full height) please tell me. -- I am also curious if it would be a problem if the mother- board have drive and hard disk -- what would be compatible? To top it off, I ordered the Tech Reference Manual and the service manual -- which THEY BACK ORDERED. -- AT&T get your act together. (an aside -- my school's 3B5 is still not installed and working after one calendar year.) -- --------------------------- Todd Cooper UUCP: ...!harvard!bu-cs!todd ...!harvard!think!festiv!todd CSNET: todd@bu-cs BITNET: cscpyqc@bostonu USNail: 29 Gordon Street #201, Brighton, MA 02135
