The latest version of ResEdit is 1.0D5, and it IS HFS compatible.

I don't yet understand Apple's policy on "system software" distribution,
since it is (I believe) available to copy off of Compuserve but is
restricted from things like Usenet.

Can ANYBODY clarify this?
