The Microsoft .OBJ format and the Intel .OBJ format are not the same.
I do not know the exact differences.

One of the issues of PC Tech towards the end of last year had an article
which detailed the .OBJ file format used by Microsoft. I'll rummage
through my back issues to find the date.
