Let's not rehash this AGAIN!  JOVE is NOT public domain, it contains UNIX
source code (the regular expression code is from "ed", and the temp file
code is from "vi".  This is documented in the source).

By the way, its JONATHAN's own version of Emacs - the author's name  is
Jonathan Payne.  (I think I spelled that right).
