View, CA Lines: 11 I have been successfully using a NEC V30 (cost me around $18 I think) in my DeskPro for some time. Installation was simple and has made me quite happy. I don't have any performance figures on hand but everything has much more of a snap to it than before. Apparently the V30 is more of an improvement over the 8086 than the V20 over the 8088. I remember reading that someplace, probably Dr. Dobb's I suspect. Anyway, I've had no compatibility problems and I recommend it highly... -- Glenn Connery, Bell Northern Research, Mountain View, CA {hplabs,amdahl,3comvax}!bnrmtv!connery
