Lines: 24 From: WCHAO@BLUE.RUTGERS.EDU If anyone interested in buying a Pascal or C complier from Radio Shack, please make a note of this. I recently received a flyer from Alcor Systems, which is the maker of Pascal and C complier for the Radio Shack computers, and they are advertising the sale price of $89.95 for either package for some popular Tandy computers, including my Model IV, when I tried to find-out if my local Radio Shack store will honor this price, the answer is a flat NO! What's even worse is the list price for either package is $249.95 at Radio Shack and the official list price from Alcor Systems is $139.95 and the same salesman, actually he is the manager for the Computer Dept., still refuses to sell it to me for $139.95. Well, I am getting it from Alcor directly and quite happy about it. I refuse to donate $160 to Radio Shack for something I can get from the manufacturer for $89.95. So next time you're out buying software at Radio Shack, check the price with the manufacture and make sure that is the correct price, not the price Radio Shack wants as a profit.
