Superman was clearly erasing from Lois's mind the memory of anything
that went on between the hijacking of the Eiffel tower and the end
of the movie.  Notice how Lois says "what's going on in the world?"
Yes, this is one of superman's unexpected, new (i.e. just to help
the plot along) superpowers, as was his ability to turn time back
at the end of S. One.  (Why, I only need cirle the earth opposite
its spin at super-fast speeds and time will just naturally turn
back, we all know that!)
