As do most of the people that I've talked to. When the cops break into the bedroom he tries to tell them that this isn't the girl they want, but they obviously don't believe him. I only saw it once, and I may be wrong, but didn't they have a gun to her head before they put the bag over his head? We can't believe he saved her later because remember that every scene after he's in the torture chair is fantasy. You also complained about the indistinguishable lines Gilliam draws between fantasy and reality. This is one of the main points of the film! And he accomplishes it brilliantly. I loved this movie. Everything about it. ------- "That's our opinion. What's yours? We'd like to know." -WPIX editorial ending Michael S.
