Apparently-To: rnews@mcvax How about starting a newsgroup for people who *make* music? It could support discussion on instrument quality, playing styles, obtaining written music, etc. Also, it might attract readers from all the other subgroups, which would facilitate communication between bach-freaks and headbangers (well, maybe that is too far fetched:-). There's bits of it in net.music already, but I'm getting sick and tired of wading through 60 articles every day to find the two or so that are interesting. From the postings in net.music, I gather that there are probably more people feeling the way I do. If you think net.music.ians (or any other name will do) is a good idea, or if you think it is *not* a good idea, *PLEASE REPLY TO ME AND I'LL POST A SUMMARY IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS* (i.e. don't followup). -- Jack Jansen, jack@mcvax.UUCP The shell is my oyster.
