For you Canon fans, this is the next generation of their A-1 body, with yet more functions and capabilities. No, it's not autofocus. I have been using my A-1 since it was introduced and like it a lot! So this makes me a biased observer... Impressions: 1) Very nice to hold in the hand! 2) The exposure reading does not update as you change your view - you have to release the shutter button and press down again - minor irritant... 3) I thought it was easier to view the image than the A-1. 4) Built-in motor drive is smooth & quiet - much nicer than the add-on drive for the A-1. Clearly I have not had more than a couple of minutes with it yet, but I already suspect that I'll buy one. Has anyone heard about prices yet? The dealer wanted $450 for the body, but he's always high... Thanks in advance. Jim Donnelly Hewlett-Packard hplabs!hp-pcd!jimd
