I am planning to go to Lake Tahoe for a few days in mid-April.  I've
never been there before, and I would appreciate it if someone could
answer a few questions.
 
--What are the snow conditions typically like in mid-April?
--Is it easy to rent skiis there, or should I lug some on the plane?
--Which are the good intermediate slopes?
--Any good nightlife?  I mean anything special that I shouldn't miss?
