Although this interpretation may seem a bit way out >to some, I believe that it is the only reasonable understanding of Genesis 6 >in the light of other relevant Scriptures. 1) Christians are referred to as "sons of God"-- For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, They are the sons of God. Romans 8:14 2) Christians are also referred to as "angels"-- Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write . . . Revelation 2:1,8,12,18,etc. 3) Angels are uni-sex, without sex; so how can they have sex with humans, especially if they are spirits-- Who maketh his angeles spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire? Hebrews 1:7 With these thoughts lets turn to Genesis 6:1-2 And it came to pass, When men began to multiply on the face of the earth, And daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; And they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man, For he also is flesh: Yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; And also after that, When the sons of God came into unto the daughters of men, And they bare children to them, The same became mighty men which were of old, Men of renown. It seems more obvious that the Spirit of God is speaking about the inter-marriage between Christians and non-Christians. Look above at what the Spirit is talking about: When MEN began to multiply . . . My Spirit shall not always strive with MAN . . . For HE is also FLESH . . . The same became mighty MEN . . . MEN of renown. We know what God says about the inter-marriage of Christians and non-Christians. Read 2 Corinthians 6:14-18: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; As God hath said, I will dwell in them, And walk in them; And I will be their God, And they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, And be ye separate, Saith the Lord, And touch not the unclear thing, And I will receive you, And I will be a Father unto you, And you shall be my sons and daughters, Saith the Lord Almighty. Our being temples of the living God, He dwelling and walking within us, and we being His people, I would think that this makes us "giants" in the land. We become the sons and daughters of God. And this scripture agrees with Genesis and we can understand what the Spirit is saying. Ken Hall
