I'm not sure I believe >this story. I believe it. Our Perkin-Elmer (oops, Concurrent) CE's have a habit of collecting equipment that otherwise would have been thrown out as junk. One of them bought an old 16-bit machine (a P-E 7/16) that we long ago had no use for for some very low price. He still talks about converting it to a 7/32 (32-bit machine).
