I'm mad now. I am sick and tired of all this bitching and moaning by some of the women on the net that "men are not in touch with their feelings", "men don't know how to hug", "men don't know how to be expressive emotionally",.etc. Here are some facts. There are too damned many women ready to scream "harrassement", "rape", and make lots of insinuations (witness the "beach harrassment" discussion on the net) about the behavior of men. It is very dangerous for men to touch women, and it is women who have programmed men to believe this. I have seen the careers of two close work friends torpedoed by women who waged a campaign of inuendo against them. No formal charges were ever raised, and the women in question were disliked generally by men and women alike who knew them; the two women were pissed off that they were not being promoted fast enough, and declared war on their supervisors, who happened to be male. And no other women, even those who knew the men were blameless, had the guts to tell management that the whole thing was phony. One friend was forced out of the company, and the other had to transfer to another building. Touching was not an issue in either case, but I tell the story to make a point--too many women are eager to mis-interpret friendly intentions. I touch and hug only my very closest friends, because I can't trust anyone else not to take it the wrong way. Best regards, Andy Cohill ihnp4!nhuxd!amc
