I had a second-time thing once.  The first time we broke up when
she started college.  She became too busy and too poor to travel
the short distance to my college.  We had no contact at all for
six or seven years.  When we got in touch again she was in a
position to send me cross-country plane tickets on the whim of a
moment!  The second time was perhaps more torrid than the first,
but didn't last as long.  But at least now we're in touch.
