What is it with all these "child geniuses" showing up on the net all
of a sudden?

(I could have skipped two or three grades in school easily, if academic
performance was the only criterion for skipping a grade.  My parents,
the school system, and my shrink (yes, I had a shrink when I was 6 years
old!) chose to hold me back due to emotional and physical immaturity.
I am *probably* better off for it, but what I wouldn't have given to
skip 2nd, 9th, and 12th grades!)
