I have a theory on that. I think that females in most societies today are brought up the exact opposite of men. That is, if men are told that they must always be winning and to win the other guy must lose, women are taught to lose, to give in and let the man win. Now any smart person can see that there's only one way for the woman to the let the man win and still win herself, and that's to find a win/win solution. I personally have quite a few recollections from childhood that indicate that I was supposed to give in. ("Mommy, mommy, billy took my bubble-maker." "Boys will be boys; why don't you find something else to do?") I have always been very conciliatory, and I don't think it has anything to do with biology. Any comments? Do any other females netters out there recall similar experiences? Any to the contrary? ----- Melissa Silvestre
