In recent weeks I have noticed several postings from people asking for 
information about bicycling through Europe.  I have a friend who is 
planning to do the same thing, and I would like to get in on any 
information that is available.  I don't exactly know which countries 
she (actually, they) plan to visit, so I can't narrow down the field 
any.  This trip isn't until summer of 1987, so there's no time pressure 
to respond.  

Any interesting experiences and/or prudent points would be greatly 
appreciated.
