A friend of mine is planning a trip to western Europe this summer, and
he would like:

a) tips on GREAT (and in his case, CRAZY) places to visit and things to do;
and
b) names and addresses of other students there whom he could contact while
   there.

He's pretty felxible on his itinerary, and would go for wild goose chase-type
stuff and out-of-the-way happenings. He's bored with the usual "tourist" scam.

Any help people could give would be great (actually, I could probably use the 
info myself at some later date...) and much appreciated.

Please reply to ME by electro-mail; I'll post the best and keep the rest between
he and I.

P.S. I would also appreciate hearing about mountain-type stuff (e.g. treks,
good rock-climbing areas, alpine shangri-las... you know, the usual scat.)
