Germany Keywords: Dear Net, a problem again. The situation: MicroVAX2 with 2MB and ULTRIX 1.1 and two Fujitsu 300MB "mini-eagles". I have configured the ULTRIX to properly handle the new drives and I can merrily copy files and filesystems to and fro, mount and dismount at leisure. The problem arises when I want to boot the system from the new eagles. The bootstrap produces some message like: >>>B DUB3 dev ra: dev offlin ra: open error Needless to say the device is online, the discs are up, the boot code was installed with mkfs, and a proper vmunix is sitting in the root partition of the ra3 disc. So what is happening ? The controller is an Emulex QD32 and it is properly set up, as far as we can tell. I'm getting fed up slowly: all the stuff that doesn't work is the other-vendor stuff. Sigh. Please help.
