Central services are provided through UNIX and VAX/VMS operating systems. The University has two immediate vacancies: ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF COMPUTER SERVICES The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Computer Services and is responsible for Academic and Technical Services. Duties include leadership in academic computing and commmunications, provision of technical expertise and the supervision of staff providing academic computing services with technical support for all University computing. TECHNICAL ANALYST IN COMPUTING The Technical Analyst provides technical expertise in computing, supports hardware and software in computers and networks and is responsible for both development and installation of new systems. Qualifications: Applicants should have an advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent; a thorough knowledge of UNIX is essential; a knowledge of hardware as well as software is desirable; experience with networks is desirable.
